The Yamato Pulvis GA-31 spray dryer is the GB-21 basic unit combined with the GF-31 spray drying attachment. Although the unit has a limited drying capacity and a relatively small-diameter drying chamber, it is invaluable for assessing the effects of spray dryer atomizer design and operating parameters on the quality of the spray dried product. 
 

Combining the basic unit with the GF-21 fluidized-bed attachment easily converts the spray dryer into a fluidized-bed dryer/granulator.

The spray dryer is also used extensively for developing the acceptance criteria and tolerances employed during spray dryer atomizer qualification.
