spray research has a custom test fixture specifically designed for the evaluation of liquid particle separation technologies and for the support of process development efforts requiring a particle separation component.

A number of cyclonic separators, mist eliminator vanes or pads can be mounted in the fixture. The two-phase flow is established with either blowers [vortex, regenerative, radial blade] or a liquid-ring vacuum pump. The flow path is highly configurable and can accommodate up to Ø150mm [Ø6"] process lines. The fixture features a generous number of optical access ports for observation, motion analysis or particle dynamics analysis.

Full-scale mist eliminator technologies can also be evaluated in the low-velocity wind tunnel/process duct section.
