The specialist spray analysis capabilities of spray research are built on a
fluids instrumentation and control backbone comprised of an extensive
selection of flow, pressure and temperature sensors and transducers integrated
into a lab-wide data acquisition system.
Control of process variables is through a network of electronic proportional
valves, variable frequency drives and stepper drives mediated by PID
controllers.
All sensors, transducers and controllers are subject to NIST-traceable calibration
at periodic intervals set by the lab's SOP's.
Process development projects at spray research may
involve our pilot-scale Yamato Pulvis or Buchi Model 190
spray dryers, one or more modules in the
particle
separation test bed or our low-speed wind tunnel/process
duct section.
